I have never noticed M4 or SOCOM carbine barrels being nose heavy because they are not especially with A-1 or A2 stocks. In fact hammer forged M4 barrels from FN, DD, etc. are hard to beat if one can afford them. As for using really skinny pencil barrels…no way jose. Medium weight barrels like Criterion's Hybrid models are nice.
